windows8-125

Many computer users behave on the forthcoming change of system similar to XP to Win7 or Win98 to Vista. Good added - with Windows 2000 and Windows Vista had a lot of trouble. But with Windows XP, you already had a 'decent' work equipment. Windows 7 is stable and recognized. 'Grown fond' one has reluctant to leave. But with 90 days of free enterprise version of Windows 8 each could form prior to the official start their own opinion.

  • The first hurdle main menu:
  • Where's the off switch or something like a main menu? Before one can even install something, a Microsoft account is required. Then, when you first start the tile menu appears. With the tile desktop it can be turned off temporarily. If you move the mouse cursor to the upper right corner displays a SidebarMenu and clicked start the colorful tile surface is back.
  • The second question is: Work my major programs?:
  • Initially only times the hardware. With 'AdvancedDriverUpdater' I have for my older computer still let found the driver for the coprocessor. The scanner driver (Epson Perfection 1640SU) can no longer be edited as to Windows 7 is still common in the Es27.inf. So does not the scanner. The printer driver I could use a similar. (Instead Canon iP4500 iP4800 now) try something is already announced. For old habits to make the freeware 'StartMenuX' good. This gives it a similar start menu in Windows 7 Windows 8 now also has its own virus scanner Defender. But there are now of the well-known manufacturers  Windows 8 versions, and that's why I 'avast7' for Windows 8 installed. Installing the main programs works. Play DVD or other videos with on-board means no longer possible because Microsoft wants to save the license fees for the codecs. So freeware VLC installed.
  • preliminary Conclusions:
  • On a second PC to install the upgrade version priced. Other experiences are indeed known to fetch only in practice.
