Coordinate files are the results of survey work. Their processing in different CAD systems is the basis for the preparation of site plans, topographic maps, architectural drawings and geographical information systems. (GIS) Also for the CAD system MicroStation there the standard designed function XYZ-Text and the MDL PLTPNT:


  xyz-Text1b  So you can very easily coordinate lists with 3 columns X, Y and Z read and mark a further step with the values of the coordinates.  pltpnt-1a PLTPNT: Besides the coordinates columns there is a possibility 2 additional columns (descriptor, label) and evaluate as text and around the icon to order. Against XYZ text, it is not provided here, to output the coordinates (with the exception of elevation) as text. Symbol is a cell or zero line. The values X, Y, Z, D, L must be present in the first 5 columns, the order is set by input format. In many cases it is sufficient, especially the MDL PLTPNT for requirements. Usually not need the coordinates in the caption, but rather a descriptor and a second property such as a kind of marking.

The first 5 columns but other meanings than PLTPNT expected. Also, because you could still re-sort the columns with a good editor ...

Each variable should be assigned easily and clearly, (almost) no matter how long the line is and how many columns it contains.
Each variable should be placed with different font size, color, and alignment level.
Texts and point to optionally can form a group.

A total of 6 columns may IMPP evaluate. With the entry of the column portion, each variable can be selected from any location within the coordinate line. Direct manual entry for this column need not even be separated by spaces.

Already in the survey in the field, you can enter each point of its importance to an encoding. If it is then in the coordinate list is a column that contains correspondingly different cell names, IMPP can put different cells. For this range of columns C is provided.

Surveying jobs are increasingly the development and maintenance of GIS. This data contains more information than the so-called factual data. With IMPP can attach each cell also automatically attribute data. The control is performed via a parameter file.
